The Grupo de Estudos de Espiritualidade e Medicina Cardiovascular da Sociedade Mineira de Minas Gerais (GEMCA/SMC/SBC) (In English: Study Group of Spirituality and Cardiovascular Medicine of the Minas Gerais Society of Cardiology) is pleased to present the English edition of the book Principles of Religiosity and Spirituality in Medicine – Focus on Cardiovascular Practice. This second edition represents the continuation of a project dedicated to bringing medicine, spirituality, and cardiovascular care closer together through scientific dialogue and collaboration on a global scale.

Originally published in Brazil, the book now reaches an international audience through this special English edition. Its publication during the World Congress of Cardiology and the 81st Brazilian Congress of Cardiology represents an important moment in the history of the Sociedade Mineira de Cardiologia (SMC) (In English: Minas Gerais Society of Cardiology), and celebrates the expansion of this initiative beyond Brazilian borders, strengthening connections among professionals and institutions committed to advancing this field.

It is an honor to share this work with the international cardiovascular community and to celebrate this milestone at the World Congress of Cardiology, hosted in Brazil.
